A total of 565 relief packages under the “One Caraga Cares for Cagayan” program of the Caraga Regional Development Council (RDC) were received by the Cagayan Valley RDC on December 28, 2020.

The donations from Caraga region for the affected families in the recent Typhoon Ulysses were transported to the region from Butuan City via Philippine Air Force C130.   The relief items were received by National Economic and Development Authority Region 02 Assistant Regional Director Ferdinand P. Tumaliuan and Finance and Administrative Division Chief Gerardo L. Catolos.

The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) assisted NEDA in coordinating with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) for the unloading of the relief goods which arrived earlier today at the Tuguegarao City Airport. The PNP-Aviation Security Group also provided assistance by mobilizing Police Regional Office 2 police trainees. The donations are temporarily stored at the OCD Warehouse and will soon be distributed to affected families.
