BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 26(PIA) – Government and private groups conducted an anti-rabies campaign in three barangays here.
At least 290 dogs were given anti-rabies vaccines by members of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines(F&), Provincial Veterinary Office(PVO), Rodeo Club Philippines(RCP) and veterinary students of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU)covering three barangays in this town.
Medik Ralleta, F& Worshipful Master said the activity is an annual collaborative project that supports the government’s declaration of the “Rabbies Awareness Month” this March.
“Most important message of this activity is to inculcate in the minds of our fellow Novo Vizcayanos the responsibility of caring and loving their dogs and one way of doing this is to ensure that they are treated with anti-rabies vaccines so that they will not pose danger to anyone,” he explained.
The “Rabies Awareness Month” anti-rabies vaccination campaign covered barangays Sta. Rosa, Don Mariano Perez and Bonfal Proper in this town with 290 dogs given with anti-rabies vaccines.
