Updates on the Cagayan River Flood Mitigation and Rehabilitation Program, COVID-19 Vaccine Roll-out, Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pagasa Program (BP2), North Luzon Growth Corridor Strategic Plan, among others, were discussed during the first quarter meeting jointly presided by Labor Secretary and RTF-ELCAC Chair Silvestre H. Bello III and RDC2 Chair and Isabela Governor Rodolfo T. Albano III.

In his message, Labor Secretary Bello encouraged everyone to continue integrating their local efforts with the regional and national development activities, along with empowering the local chief executives and officials to continue spearheading development in their respective jurisdictions.

Governor Albano likewise highlighted the importance of coming together to implement President Duterte’s whole-of-nation approach. “We have already built a solid foundation for participatory government”, he added.

The first quarter Joint Meeting of the RDC2 with the RDC Advisory Committee (AdCom), the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC), the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) and the RDC2 Special Committee on Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program (BP2) was held in Ilagan City, Isabela on March 20.

The said meeting was attended by Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos M. Padilla III, Quirino Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua and Cagayan Governor Manual T. Mamba represented by Cagayan Provincial Administrator Col. Darwin Sacramed, five Region 2 congressmen and other government officials and members of the Councils who were present physically or via zoom.
