SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, April 30 (PIA) – The Santiago City Police Office (SCPO) is on full alert today in preparation to the 2013 Pattaradday Festival celebration to be conducted from May 1 until May 5, 2013.
PS/Supt. Severino Abad Jr, city police chief, said the police personnel said police personnel will be deployed in strategic areas of the city particularly at the event main venues to secure the public and to help the city’s traffic enforcers in maintaining traffic flow especially in major thoroughfares.
Meanwhile, the city police chief also met yesterday the police precinct commanders, the city election officer and army commander in preparation to the upcoming elections.
Abad said the police will do its best to make the election in the city peaceful and orderly and laid out plans for security in the transport of election paraphernalia and the Precinct Count Optical scan machines in the city’s polling precincts.
