BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 21(PIA) – At least 116 persons here will be hired by various employment agencies through the recently concluded conduct of a jobs fair of the Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE) in partnership with the provincial government at the provincial capitol grounds here.

The jobs fair which was participated by 24 overseas and local agencies from various parts of the country and attended by some 320 applicants resulted to the generation of 58 applicants for final interview and 58 job seekers who were hired on the spot.

“This is a yearly activity of our agency in coordination with the concerned local government units. Through this jobs fair, we can bring possible employment closer to our job seekers especially in our province,” Engr. Henry Balangatan, DOLE district officer said.

He said the participating employment agencies reported that there are 4,602 available jobs in other countries while 320 more are ready to be filled up by qualified applicants in the country.

The 2-day jobs fair(May 16-17), a pre-“Ammungan” Festival activity was sponsored by the provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya.

“Ammungan” Festival, a week-long celebration of the province’s 174th Founding Anniversary is held yearly from May 19 to May 24.

The participating overseas employment agencies were 1st Northern International Placement, Inc., SML Human Resources, Inc., Starbone International Promotions and Manpower Corp., Mayonview Manpower Intl Services, Inc., Emerald International Manpower Services Corp., Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corp., Micheal Angelo Manpower Exponent, Inc., Luxury & JP International Corp., Lakas Tao Contract Services, LGH International Services, Inc., Al Rafidaen Manpower International Corp., Marion International Manpower Agency, Inc., I-Rekrut Manpower Inc., Mivian International Manpower Agency and Baguio-Benguet Agency.

The local employment agencies were Sanford Marketing Corp.(SAVEMORE), Didipio Community Development Corp., LED Management Training Services, FCF Minerals, Oceana Gold(Philippines), Inc., DELTA Earthmoving, Inc., Tam-an Multi-Purpose Cooperative and RETA Drug.
