The regional winners of the Search for Outstanding Volunteers were recognized by the Regional Development Council 2 on September 27, 2013 at the Charina’s Suite Hotel, Santiago City, Isabela.

The winners are: Mr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr. of Isabela State University-Ilagan City Campus for the Individual Adult Category; and Mr. Nelson L. Gacutan of St. Paul University Philippines- Tuguegarao City for the Individual Youth Category; and the Marian Emergency Response Team (M-ERT) of St. Mary’s University, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya for the Group Category.

Said regional winners were recognized for their exemplary commitment and dedication in strongly advocating the spirit of volunteerism through selfless service and sharing of knowledge and skills in their community. Particularly, each was acknowledged of their various activities and participation to community projects that contributed to the upliftment of their provinces’ socio-economic condition.

These winners are the region’s National Search of Outstanding Volunteers contenders, where the final selection and awarding of national winners will be held on December 12 in time for the National Volunteer Month. The Regional Search Committee was headed by NEDA Region 02, and members from DILG, CSC, PIA and outgoing PSR Ms. Bella Patricia Osalvo.
