The updated Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2014-2016 and updated Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) 2014-2016 were unanimously approved by the Regional Development Council 2 during its full Council Meeting on September 27, 2013 at the Charina’s Suite Hotel, Santiago City, Isabela.

The region’s six-year development plan, the RDP, was updated to include new strategic interventions as against the identified bottlenecks in the past three years and the emerging developments in the region. A series of inter-agency consultations were conducted beginning July 9 until July 16 to assess and gather necessary inputs and concerns from the stakeholders.

Likewise, the RDIP which contains the list of priority capital and technical assistance programs and projects was revalidated to ensure that the identified programs and projects substantially contribute to the regional priorities as embodied in the development objectives under the RDP and the critical indicators in the Regional Matrix (RM).

These two documents were also subjected to various Sectoral Committee discussions to ensure that these are consistent with the national and regional thrusts.
