The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office 02 (NEDA RO2) was recognized as one of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Outstanding Stakeholders for CY 2015 during the Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch (Region 02) held on July 21, 2015 at the Crown Pavilion, Tuguegarao City. The ceremony was graced by Monetary Board Member and Chairman of the Board of Judges Mr. Juan D. De Zuñiga, Jr. and Deputy Governor for Monetary Stability Sector Mr. Diwa C. Guinigundo.
NEDA RO2 achieved the “Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments of the Philippines” in Region 02 under the Information Support – Sources of Information category. Dubbed by other stakeholders as the development coordinating agency in the region,NEDA RO2 leads the formulation of regional economic development reports of the Cagayan Valley Region through its Regional Economic Situationers (RES) published quarterly and annually, and the Regional Development Report (RDR) annually.
The BSP’s appreciation award recognizes the vital role of the stakeholders towardsfulfillingits mandates as the country’s central monetary authority and the successful realization of its advocacies and social responsibilities.
Aside from NEDA RO2, three other institutions from the region were awarded during the event. The Agribusiness Rural Bank, Inc. achieved the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firmsand Honda Cars Isabela, Inc.for the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms under the Information Support – Business Expectations Survey category; and the University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao for the Oustanding Regional Partner (Tuguegarao Branch) under the Currency Programs of the BSP category.(AAU/PFPD)#
