ILAGAN CITY, Isabela, Jan 28 (PIA) — The capital city of Isabela will strengthen the implementation of “Tapat ko, Linis ko (My frontage, my responsibility)” aimed at maintaining cleanliness in the entire city.
The program was launched a few years back and the city government will strengthen its implementation this year in support of the environmental program of government.
Jun Montereal, information officer of Ilagan City, said the program will be implemented in the city’s central business district and in its 91 barangays.
The program encourages business establishments, residential owners, and barangay officials in the city to maintain cleanliness in their respective areas.
He said the city government of Ilagan has seen the value of having a clean environment as pollution and floods due to clogged canals will be avoided and other benefits in relation to having a clean and properly-managed wastes products.
Ilagan City has also ordered all its barangays to lead a clean-up drive in their respective places to ensure the maintenance of cleanliness.
A city mobile public address system has started to roam the city’s public market and barangays reminding residents to clean their respective areas.
