TUGUEGARAO CITY, Feb 21 (PIA) — Amidst the circulation of text messages on the alleged memorandum relative to the grant of performance based bonus and salary increase, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region 2 has issued disclaimer of the grant of P10,000 performance based bonus and 15 percent salary increase.
Jose Pamittan, information officer, said DBM has not issued any memorandum stating that there will be grant of P10,000 performance based bonus of government employees and salary increase by June 15, 2013.
“We clarify that we haven’t released any order in that effect. The amount that each employee will receive is not across-the-board, rather, dependent on the individual and bureau performance,” Pamittan said.
On the salary increase, Pamittan also clarified that DBM is still following the Salary Standardization Law III in which the fourth tranche took effect already last year.
He advised the public to refer to their website http//www.gov.ph/pbb/ to verify or clarify any information about the performance based bonus and the salary increase.
