DIADI, Nueva Vizcaya, March 5 (PIA) — Cagayan Valley power firm, SN Aboitiz Power – Magat(SNAP-Magat) recently turned-over one set of computer to Barangay Butao here as part of its mission to bring villagers and officials closer to the worldwide web.
Veronica Adsuara and Jerry Baniqued of Aboitiz handed over the computer set to Barangay Captain Dominick Bandao.
Adsuara said the assistance was given through the hydropower firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) support to local government projects which will benefit more than 180 students and barangay officials.
The assistance was one of the five projects covered by recent agreements of SNAP-Magat with Diadi town and its four barangays.
Other projects are road concreting in Barangay Poblacion in Diadi to benefit 50 farmers, overflow bridges which also serve as anti-erosion water channel, and walkway for about 350 residents in barangays Arwas and Langka, and a tree-farming livelihood and anti-soil erosion project for 163 residents in Barangay Escoting.
SNAP-Magat, a joint venture between SN Power of Norway and AboitizPower, operates the 360-megawatt (MW) Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) located on the border of Isabela and Ifugao.
