In celebration of the RDC Week, the Cagayan Valley Regional Development Council (RDC) held its 3rd Quarter Meeting today, September 25, 2024, at the Go Hotels Plus in Tuguegarao City. The Council endorsed the following plans, programs, projects, and initiatives:
โ€ข Fisheries Management Area 1 Management Framework Plan;
โ€ข Regional Population and Development Plan of Action 2023-2028;
โ€ข Regional Plan of Action for Children 2024-2028;
โ€ข Philippine Development Plan for Culture and the Arts 2024-2029;
โ€ข Cagayan Valley Sustainable Development Goals Catch-up Plan;
โ€ข Cagayan Valley Regional Statistical Development Program 2023-2029;
โ€ข Investment Promotion Program 2.0;
โ€ข Initiatives to Support the Revitalization of Bamboo Industry;
โ€ข Regionโ€™s Tourism Circuits; and
โ€ข Two pump irrigation projects in Sta. Maria, Isabela and Enrile, Cagayan.
The Council also gave its support to the following: Commission on Human Rights Charter; House Bill 10023 designating the Isabela State University as the National Water Resources Center in the Philippines; and the implementation of the Paleng-QR Ph Program of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Moreover, the DENR briefed the Council on the environmental regulations in protected areas and the requirements for the issuance of Environmental Compliance Certificate for the projects. The Development Academy of the Philippines and the DILG also provided updates on the Public Management Development Program and the CY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance, respectively.
