The NEDA2 Incident Management Team joined the Fire Safety Orientation on September 27, 2024 at the NGN Gran Hotel, Caggay, Tuguegarao City. This activity was jointly organized by NEDA2 and the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) of DOLE as one of the lined-up activities in celebration of the Regional Development Council (RDC) Week.
 
In his welcome message, RDC2 Secretary and NEDA2 Assistant Regional Director Ferdinand P. Tumaliuan emphasized the importance of holding fire safety drills and trainings to make sure employees are knowledgeable about emergency protocols and are capable of responding quickly to fire incidents.
The activity aims to provide the RDC2 members with fundamental knowledge and skills on fire prevention and control in the workplace. The topics discussed include the general fire safety measures required under the Occupational Safety and Health Standards in the workplace, means of regress, emergency preparedness, and the 2008 Fire Code of the Philippines.
 
A total of 50 participants from RDC member-agencies attended the activity.
