During the event, the Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children (RSCWC2) recognized the efforts of NEDA2 Regional Director Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr. for his unwavering support for the advancement of the welfare of children in the region. NEDA2 played a key role in the adoption of the Regional Plan of Action for Children (RPAC) 2024-2028 by Regional Line Agencies (RLAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) through Regional Development Council (RDC2) Resolution No. 02-64, s. 2024. This signifies the region’s commitment to advance the welfare of children.

The RPAC 2024-2028 regional initiatives is aligned with the National Plan of Action for Children for 2024-2028. It consolidates the critical commitments of key regional agencies across all facets of child welfare, encompassing health, education, protection, and active participation.
NEDA2’s dedication to the RPAC 2024-2028 extends beyond the RDC resolution, as the office has actively participated in its formulation and ensuring its integration into the region’s development plans. This commitment has been recognized as a valuable support in promoting the development of children in the Cagayan Valley Region.
