ILAGAN CITY, Isabela, April 8 (PIA) – The provincial social welfare and development office has intensified its “no to epal” campaign to spare the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries from politics.
Lucila Ambatali, provincial social welfare and development officer, said the campaign aims to protect the 4ps beneficiaries from being used in advancing the interests of politicians in gaining votes which may destroy the integrity of the program.
Local candidates have already started their campaign sorties and the province’s social welfare and development office is advising the 4Ps beneficiaries in the province to exercise their right to vote and not be swayed by anyone.
Earlier, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) secretary Dinky Soliman said that no politicians have the right to delist the names of 4Ps beneficiaries in their respective provinces, cities or municipalities except the DSWD when the conditionalities set are not met by the beneficiaries.
Ambatali said Isabela has the highest number of beneficiaries entire the region with a total of 44, 013.
The PSWDO has instructed its municipal social welfare and development offices to intensify its “no to epal” campaign in their respective localities so that politicians will not influence the beneficiaries during this election.
