TUGUEGARAO CITY, April 8 – There is enough water in the city and neighboring towns.

This was the assurance made by the Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District (MTWD).

Despite the extremely hot weather condition, water supply is adequate at source especially at the water reservoir in Penabalanca and Solana towns, Engr. Miller Tanguilan, MTWD general manager, said. He allayed fears among consumers on possible occurrence of drought in the whole province.

“So far, we have enough water supply. Our watersheds are well maintained and they are capable to produce water enough for public consumption even during dry season,” Tanguilan said

He added that the water service interruptions in some areas were due to preventive maintenance operations that the MTWD is conducting and not because of drought.

Tanguilan advised the public to use water resources wisely and to help conserve drinking water to share it to those who are experiencing droughts in their wells.
