ILAGAN CITY, Isabela, April 20 (PIA) — The Commission on Elections – Isabela and the provincial treasury office has started distributing election paraphernalia that are classified as non-accountable forms to municipal and city treasurers together with the election officers in the different municipalities and cities of Isabela.
City and municipal treasurers merged yesterday at the capitol, particularly at the provincial treasury office and received the election paraphernalia to be used in the upcoming May 13, 2013 national and local elections.
The election paraphernalia were distributed yesterday afternoon at the provincial treasury office.
Provincial treasurer Maria Theresa Flores said among the non-accountable forms and supplies that were distributed are posters indicating cluster precinct numbers, paper seal, certificate of votes, official receipt of election returns and envelops and other supplies needed during the elections next month.
Flores said the election paraphernalia arrived in the capitol on the third week last month and these are already distributed to give enough time for the municipal treasurers in the province to distribute until the end of this month to respective board of election inspectors (BEIs).
The ballot boxes and the precinct count optical scan machines to be used in the precincts will also be distributed once ordered to be distributed to the localities and those election materials and equipment will be delivered with police escorts going to the localities.
Meanwhile, the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has laid out security plans in the delivery of the ballot boxes and PCOS machines to the localities once given the go signal to do so.
