ILAGAN CITY, Isabela, April 22 (PIA) — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has set a two-day power interruption to several service areas of Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO) I.
Lilibeth P. Gaydowen, NGCP north Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer, said the power interruption will be experienced on April 24 and 25, Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The affected service areas on April 24 are barangays District 1 and 2, Buenaswerte, Labinab, Culalabat, Gagabutan, Duminit, Rizal, Baringin Norte and Sur, Sta. Luciana, Guayabal, Marabulig, Nagrumbuan, Minante I & II, Sillawit, San Fermin Cauayan City all in the city of Cauayan and parts of Luna, Isabela
The reasons for the scheduled power interruption is to enable the maintenance team of NGCP to conduct regular preventive maintance and testing of 15MVA power transformer at Cauayan sub-station and simultaneous replacement of selected woodpoles and line hardwares along Santiago-Reina Mercedes 69kV transmission line.
On April 25 , service areas of ISELCO I to be affected by the power interruption are barangays Sinsayon, Dubinan West, Plaridel, Patul, Villa Gonzaga and San Isidro all in Santiago City including the whole town of Cordon.
NGCP will be conducting maintenance and repair of selected line structures and hardwares along Santiago – Aglipay 69kV transmission line.
Gaydowen advised the affected area residents to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the set power interruptions.
She said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
