SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela, April 30 (PIA) – The Commission on Elections – Santiago City has distributed voters information and instruction sheet (VIIS) to the voters in every barangay in the city.

The VIIS contains the information for voters on where to cast their votes and location polling places. It also gives instruction to the voters where to locate in the Comelec website the sample ballot that will be used by voters and how to feed in the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machine after finishing and selecting candidates.

Lawyer BorrisBanaoag, acting Santiago City election officer, said the VIIS is an important information and educational materials to enable the voters be easily guided when going to cast votes inside the polling precincts.

Banaoag said the casting of votes on the day of election starts at 7:00 o’clock in the morning of May 13, 2013 until 6:00 o’clock in the afternoon of the same day.

The election official urged voters to participate during the election to exercise their right to choose the future leaders in national and local positions.

Santiago City has thirty seven barangays and almost eighty thousand registered voters who will participate during the May 13, 2013 national and local elections.
