TUGUEGARAO CITY, May 20 (PIA) — The Cagayan Valley Medical Centers (CVMC) is now under renovation after receiving P15 million from the Department of Health- Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) Region 2.
CVMC Chief Dr. Emmanuel Acluba said the allotment was derived from the Hospital Facility Enhancement Project Fund of the national government.
He said the renovation of the hospital’s Emergency and Out-Patient departments have already started last month and is expected to be completed on September of this year.
“This is part of our effort to enhance more our hospital facility to further improve our service delivery to our clients,” Acluba said.
CVMC is a tertiary government hospital in the region which is servicing patients not only from Cagayan province but also from Isabela, Kalinga, and Apayao provinces.
Last year, some of the hospital’s wards were renovated through the funds from donors.
Acluba said that they still need some more funds to complete the other portions of the hospital which need renovation and enhancement to upgrade the hospital facilities as well as to cope-up with the private hospitals in the region.
