A new set of Private Sector Representatives (PSRs) to the Regional Development Council (RDC) 2 were elected on Wednesday, 18 September, 2013 during the PSR Convention at the Casa Angela, Tuguegarao City.

The new PSRs are: Mr. Romeo Vasquez and Mr. Elpidio T. Tortoza for the Agriculture Sector; Mr. Primitivo Clave for the Fishery Sector; Mr. Protacio Laguinday for the Environment and Natural Resources Sector; Ms. Corona Borja for the Education and Manpower Development; Mr. Romeo Allam and Mr. Emelito Gonzales for the Health and Social Welfare; Ms. Ma. Belen B. Lim for the Media Sector; Engr. Alfonso Taccad for the Utilities and Infrastructure Sector; Mr. Gilbert Cumila and Mr. Sandy Changiwan for the Commerce, Industry and Tourism; and Engr. Aristeo Danao for the Indigenous Peoples Group.

The PSRs will be confirmed during the full Council meeting, along with the Council’s reorganization on September 27 at Santiago City, Isabela.

Meanwhile, the elected PSRs in the RPMC are: Mr. Ricardo Valdez and Ms. Teresita Acosta; and Regional Land Use Committee (RLUC) are: Mr. Artemio Antolin and Ms. Lourdes Laboreda. Engr. Taccad was selected from among the 12 PSRs of the Council to sit in the RPMC.
