BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Jan 3 (PIA) — This province will receive another funding assistance from the Department of Health(DOH) this year for the upgrading of its local government – managed hospitals.
Governor Luisa Cuaresma has entered into a memorandum of agreement(MOA) with the DOH for the release of around P17.5 million to improve the facilities of its hospitals.
These hospitals are the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital(NVPH) in Bambang town, Dupax District Hospital(DDH) in Dupax del Sur town, Kasibu District Hospital(KDH) in Kasibu town, and the Kayapa District Hospital (KDH) in Kayapa town.
“This assistance is another development result of our initiative to further upgrade the capabilities of our existing local government-run health centers to provide excellent health services for our constituents,” Daniel said.
He said the fund is in addition to the P35 million earlier given by the DOH for the construction of additional building to address the increasing number of patients needing accommodation.
The fund will be used to build a two-story charity ward within the NVPH, located at Barangay Almaguer North in Bambang town, to serve poor patients.
