Cagayan Valley Regional Development Report (RDR) 2025

The Cagayan Valley Regional Development Report (RDR) 2025 highlights the region’s progress in implementing programs, projects, and policies towards achieving the regional development goals and targets set for 2028. It assesses the region’s performance based on the outcome indicators and targets outlined in the Cagayan Valley Regional Development Plan 2023-2028 (CV RDP): Midterm Update.

The RDR 2025 reflects the continuing commitment and collective efforts of regional line agencies, local government units, state universities and colleges, and non-government organizations in implementing the CV RDP. Their collaboration and shared responsibility have contributed significantly to sustaining development gains and improving the welfare of communities in the region.

Updated Regional Physical Framework Plan 2025-2055

The Regional Physical Framework Plan of Region II is designed to show the desired direction and intensity of growth of the region as a whole, as well as of its sub-regional areas, covering a period of 30 years, from 2025 to 2055. It is a document embodying a set of policies that seeks to guide public and private investments in order to effect an efficient settlement pattern for better access by the regions population to basic services and economic opportunities, and a rational mix of land uses that promotes productivity and safeguards environmental integrity.

The first part of the document includes the assessment of the current RPFP highlighting sectoral performance for the first 10-year phase of the document. 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟭𝟯𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Cagayan Valley Regional Development Council (RDC2) successfully conducted its 133rd Full Council Meeting on December 5, 2024 at the Hotel Andrea in Cauayan City, Isabela.
 
During the meeting, several plans were adopted such as the Luzon Spatial Development Framework (LSDF) 2025-2055, the updated Cagayan Valley Regional Development Investment Program (CVRDIP) 2023-2028, and the Social Protection (SP) Plan 2023-2028, among others. The LSDF, one of the country’s three Area Spatial Development Frameworks, will be the basis for optimizing resources in Luzon regions towards enhancing interregional complementation. The updated RDIP will be the reference for the preparation and deliberation of agency budget proposals for FY 2026. The SP Plan will rationalize social protection systems in the region.

Region 02 Wins 3rd PSA Quiz Bee National Championship

Ms. Ma. Gloria L. Daluddung, Supervising Economic Development Specialist of NEDA2, represented Region 02 and emerged as the National Champion at the 3rd Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Quiz Bee National Finals held today, October 5, at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.
Ms. Daluddung bested 16 other contestants from different government agencies nationwide in the three-round quiz bee.
The PSA Quiz Bee is an annual event that aims to promote awareness of the importance of statistics in national development. The competition is open to all Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) – member agencies/offices.
