𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗗𝗖𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗗𝗖 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The Luzon Regional Development Committee (Luzon RDCom) conducted its 2nd Technical Working Committee (TWC) Meeting on November 25, 2024, via Zoom, to discuss the Draft Updated Luzon Spatial Development Framework (LSDF) 2015-2045.

The LSDF will guide and connect growth centers, capital build-up, and economic programs and projects throughout the Luzon regions for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development.

During the meeting, the members reviewed the LSDF and provided inputs to further enhance it. The LSDF was formulated through a series of workshops participated in by the heads and technical staff of NEDA Regional Offices in Luzon and the Metro Manila Development Authority. The TWC endorsed the Draft LSDF to the Regional Development Councils in Luzon for approval, and onward endorsement to the Luzon RDCom Full Committee.

𝗥𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Regional Research and Development, and Innovation Committee (RRDIC) conducted its 2nd Semester meeting today, 22 November, at the NEDA Pamegafanan Hall, RGC, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City.

Among the major concerns discussed are the following:

1. Various legislative agenda supporting science and technology such as the Philippine National Nuclear Energy Safety Act, the PHIVOLCS Modernization Bill, the National Measurement Infrastructure Systems Act, and the Virology and Vaccine Institute of the Philippines Act;

2. 2024 Regional Development Report: Chapter on Advancing Research and Development, Technology, and Innovation;

3. Memorandum of Agreement on the implementation of USAID US – Philippine Partnership for Skills, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning Program in the region;

4. Conduct of the 2nd Regional Research Dissemination Forum;

5. Cagayan Valley Regional Research and Development Agenda 2023-2028 Monitoring Report;

6. DOST New Research Funding Guidelines; and

7. CY 2025 RRDIC Work Program

𝗖𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Committee on Development Administration and Communication (CODAC) conducted its 4th Quarter meeting today, 21 November, at the NEDA Pamegafanan Hall, RGC, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City.

The agenda items for discussion included the following:

1. 2024 Regional Development Report: Governance Chapters

2. Updated Cagayan Regional Development Investment Program (CV-RDIP) 2023-2028;

3. Level of Compliance of LGUs in Region 2 on the Implementation of Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS); and

4. CY 2025 CODAC Work Program.

The CODAC Meeting was presided over by the Co-Chair and Mayor of Tuguegarao City Hon. Maila Rosario S. Ting-Que.

𝗖𝗩𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗗 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗨𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

The Cagayan Valley Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD) Consortium made history with its winning streak as Ugnay Award Grand Winner three times, bagging the Hall of Fame Award. The awards were conferred during the 2024 Science and Technology (S&T) Recognition and Awarding Ceremony and 52nd Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) held on 8 November 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, Manila.

The prestigious Ugnay Award is given to outstanding regional research and development (R&D) consortia as PCAARRD’s partner in planning, monitoring, evaluating, and coordinating activities on strategic R&D, R&D results utilization, capability building and governance, and policy analysis and advocacy. The Hall of Fame Award is conferred to a regional consortium that has won first place in the Ugnay Award three times.

𝐍𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝐑𝐎𝟐 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦

The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office 2 (NEDA2) conducted a virtual orientation on the Cagayan Valley Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) Online System (ROS) on 28 October 2024. The session was attended by 32 participants representing agency regional offices (AROs), state universities and colleges (SUCs), government-owned and/or controlled corporations (GOCCs), and other government instrumentalities.

The orientation aimed to refresh RDIP focals on updating enrolled priority programs and projects (PAPs) and adding new ones into the CVRDIP via the ROS. The ROS is designed to streamline the annual submission of agency priority PAPs, track the status, and serve as a key reference in the annual budget process. The ROS as a digital platform for managing annual updates to the investment programming activities also highlights additional features and user interface to improve encoding and monitoring.
