NEDA RO2 staff affirm commitment to RTF-ELCAC activities

Amidst the continuing success of the security sector in addressing the communist insurgency, the government seeks to further broaden its efforts in harmonizing public, private and community activities in solving the insurgency issue. Thus, the Executive Order No. 70 was signed on 4 December 2018 creating the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). EO 70 shifts the traditional military-centric approach into a civilian-led approach. The 2019 Dubai International Award for Sustainable Development is open to national and regional governments, local authorities and their associations, non-governmental organizations, multilateral agencies, community-based organizations, research and academic institutions, public and private foundations, media entities and foundations.

The Dubai International Award aims to recognize the world’s best practices that demonstrate valuable contributions to sustainable urban development, as a result of effective partnerships between public, private, and civic sectors in these areas:

a. Urban Regeneration and Public Spaces
b. Construction of Sustainable, Innovative and Smart Buildings
c. Sustaining Urban Food Systems
d. Addressing Climate Change and Reducing Pollution
e. Urban Infrastructure Planning and Management

Malacañang appoints RDC2 Chair and Co-Chair

President Rodrigo R. Duterte appointed Isabela Governor Rodolfo T. Albano III as the new Chair of the highest policy-making body in Cagayan Valley Region, the Regional Development Council 2. He took his oath of office in Malacañang on February 4.
